Walker Datavision have an experienced software solution capability allowing us to build customer specific software and provide full solution projects.
The software team builds mission critical customized solutions, within labelling and automated data capture areas, for specific clients where the requirements are significantly different to what is offered in standard solutions. These customized solutions are based on leading edge Microsoft .net technology and SQL. They utilize the RF Gen development tool kit, a specialist RF middleware development environment that contains pre-built RF routines and options for screen mapping; and Bartender, a specialist label formatting and printing product.
We integrate our software solutions with a wide range of ERP host systems to bring down information such as work orders, sales orders, purchase orders, and products; and return information such as production receipts, inventory changes and movements, and product dispatched. Integration has been with a wide range of tier 1 and tier 2 ERP solutions - including JDE, SAP, BPCS, Movex, Navision, and others - and has been achieved through both industry standard interfacing methods and specialist interfacing products. We have significant experience integrating our software solutions with a wide range of RF, bar coding, and factory equipment - including printers, LPAs, weigh scales, and PLCs driving conveyors and palletisers.
We follow UML based industry best practice for software development, and have strong project management methodologies to ensure high quality and robust solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
